On April 7th 2009, the Implementation Executive of the new Wiltshire Council approved the establishment of a 'Special Purpose Vehicle' to implement Chippenham's regeneration in accordance with the 'Vision for Chippenham' document they adopted last October.

A new Vision Director and team will now be set up within the Council's Economy & Environment directorate, responsible to an Executive Board which represents all interested parties in the regeneration of Chippenham, whether public, private or voluntary sector
