Introduction to the Community Plan
On behalf of those engaged in the production of this plan, I congratulate and thank all those who
have contributed so willingly to what will be a most important initiative in determining the future
quality of life in the Chippenham Area communities.
For the fi rst time on such a comprehensive scale, all those responsible for providing local services to the
town and it’s surrounding villages will be aware of the priorities and values of the people who live and
work in the area and be able to direct resources, and take decisions, to meet those aspirations.
The plan will be regularly reviewed and I hope that all organisations working to deliver it will retain their
enthusiasm and input to ensure that the initiative proves to be of real and lasting value to the communities
in our area.
