HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PROJECT TEAM (HASC)

HASC project team members are representatives of statutory and voluntary organisations which are concerned with the provision of health and social care, and members of the public who either have a knowledge of health and/or social care or simply have an interest in the services provided.

HASC monitors and influences the provision of health and social care in the Chippenham and Villages Area by holding regular meetings with service providers and by seeking out service users’ experiences.

In 2008 we facilitated a meeting so that NHS Wiltshire could discuss with representatives of local organisations the plans for community health care including services provided at Chippenham Hospital, and carried out a survey to gather information and views from service users.

The work of HASC is growing. We are being invited by statutory and voluntary organisations to contribute to and take part in setting the agenda for the provision of services in our area and so we are always looking out for new members.

The group meets in Chippenham every six weeks or so on a Tuesday from 10 am until 12 noon. Our meetings are informal and friendly.
