About
ChAP is the Chippenham and Villages Area Partnership, a voluntary group working with others to fulfil the Social, Economic and Environmental needs identified by the people of Chippenham and the nearby 15 parishes.
ChAP involves and welcomes people who share these aims. Representatives working on our steering group and our project teams include:
- Community groups & societies
- Wiltshire Council
- Chippenham Town Council
- Parish Councils
- Police, Fire & Rescue service, & NHS
- Faith Groups
- The Chippenham Chamber of Commerce
ChAP is independent of all political parties
ChAP’s role is to consult as many people as possible about their needs, aspirations and priorities, to publish the findings in The Community Plan and press those responsible to act upon them.
ChAP also has Project Teams with special interests who have a more active, practical role delivering The Community Plan:
- Health and Social Care (HASC)
- Enviroment (CAVE)
- Economy and Regeneration (New ChAPTER -made up of 4 sub groups: River, Tourism, Town Centre and Transport Traffic and Parking)
- Culture and Leisure (PerFORUM)
